Leave a Comment: Today you were able to watch an example of a book talk through an activity we call 'Fish Bowl'. This allowed you to see a good example of what happens during a book talk. What did you learn from this activity? What area are you going to work on when you are ready for your book talk?

Uh Grim, there was stuff to comment about! I learned that if you don't pay attention to the other person, sometimes you don't realize that what your saying makes absolutely no sense what so ever.

What I learned was that you should pay attention to the other person and don't drift off the subject. I an going to work on communication, connections and understanding the book's big idea. See you all tomorrow.

I learned that it's good to talk about connections and questions so others can understand the big idea. I will work on sharing connections because I don't usually use connections that much. I will also work on sharing my thoughts with others when I am doing my book talk.

I learned that it is very important to make conections and inferences, becuase then you relate to the story and you understand it more clearly. I think I need to work on asking more questions and making inferences.

I wish I could have stayed the whole day! Instead danceinfection and I went to dance competition! We did really well. I learned to talk about your connections so you can understand the story better, because you are using your backround knowledge. I will work on asking maybe more questions about the book for my book talk.

I learned that in a book talk, it's more fun to have an actual person to talk to, so you can see their reactions to the book and their options, not just your own. I think the area I will work on, is showing more emotion in the book talk, having all the emotions on this book! I will also try to make this a better book talk then my first one, because that the term 2 book talk was something I was very proud of, and I attempt to do better.

Hi! I just got home from ball hockey practice and I'm so exhausted! Today I learned in the book talk that, you can learn a lot from listening to someone else's reactions about the book. I also learned that you could express your own feelings about the book and no one will tell you that your wrong. I think I'm going to work on asking deep and thoughtful questions about the book, so i could learn more about the book by doing that. Well, see y'all tomorrow! Bye for now...

I learned you should be engaged when you are having a book conversation, because you could get confused. Also, use back round knowledge and make inferences and make sure to talk about the big idea! I will try to work on using connections and back round knowledge because it does really help my understanding, but I rarely use it. See everyone soon, bye!

Well,I learned that there is much more that goes on in one conversation that I thought, like eye contact, facial expressions, hand gestures. Things that I never payed attention to when having a conversation or watching someone have a conversation. I am going to work on lots of volume and eye contact when I am doing my book talk.

I learned that theirs a lot of things I have to work on fro my book talk's like hand gestures and eye contact with the audience. I am going to work on practicing and practicing my hand gestures and not to fiddle with anything in my hands, like my paper that I have in my hand. I want to speak more fluent so people can understand me and speak at a good volume.

I learned that I should pay more attention to the person speaking. I am going to need to work on asking questions. The reason is because I tend to not ask any questions during things like doing a book talk with somebody else. See you all today!

I learned that it is better to work with a partner so you know what they think about the story. I also think it's very good to use background knowledge. I need to work on asking more questions. See you all later bye!

I learned that I need to stay on topic and not fidget with stuff. I also learned that I need to show that I am listening to the other person. Eye contact is key for a good book talk.

Sorry my comment is soooo late! I learned it's a lot more than just talking to someone its making connections and asking questions! I will hopefully try to find the meaning behind the story and get help from some other people.
