Leave a comment: This week the Trudeau government said Canada will be receiving 10 000 Syrian refugees by the end of December. After the recent Paris attacks, some people have said some racist things about the Syrians because they are Muslims, who share the same religion as the terrorists. If you were away, or would like to 'just because', watch Bill Nye's Food Web video. Today the students had their first "in-water" water polo session. Thank you to our parent drivers who ferried the kids over to the pool. Students engaged in a swim test, then did some water polo drills to practice their skills. Before you send Mrs. Van your 'Recipe for Peace', make sure your name is on it, and you have a photo on the same page that represents the feeling of your poem. Also, make sure your poem is balanced on the page - there should not be any large white spaces at the top or bottom. If you have to, enlarge the photo and the font size.
