Our terrific 2015 Grade 7 group!Language Arts: Think about an interesting topic for a speech. Avoid topics that most people already know a lot about e.g. smoking, gerbils. You may want to do some research to find a topic. Find something interesting e.g. Why do stars twinkle? Toothpaste. Genetically modified food. It may be that you want to write/speak about the person from your biography reading.

You had a great start to your biography posters today. Remember to finish your sketch for tomorrow. I am looking forward to the embellishments some of you will add e.g. fabric clothing, cottony hair, etc. If you have time, you may want to start looking for a quote from your person, or a quote someone else has made about him or her. Also, you may want to print some photos of items that are representative of your person e.g. a map of France and picture of a sword for Joan of Arc. Leave a comment about your biography project. 'The Road to Success" by TFTT | Today you had the opportunity to create landscape paintings with K. Jane Watt. I took some great photos, but I can't get them out of the camera at the moment. Ugh! Stay tuned...Check the website after 6:00pm. Read and discuss your report card with your parents. Have them sign the cover, and return it in the envelope tomorrow. Your parents keep the inside papers. The Book Commercials are turning out to be really informative. It is so exciting to see you sharing the novels you are enjoying! |
