Setting a purpose has helped me in my reading comprehension because it has made me think what am I doing this for am I doing this for pleasure, or am I reading this to find out the meaning or even if I have any questions.

Using Background Knowledge helped me in looking at a picture because when ever I wrote something down a bunch of connections pop into my head. I wonder what we are going to be learning tomorrow? See you all tomorrow!

Using background knowledge has helped me understand what I'm reading because if there is a big word I might have heard someone say it before and I think about when they said that and what the rest of the sentence was.

Using background knowledge helps me in my reading, because it helps me understand some of the parts in the book. Like when there at a lace and doing something that I have done, its helps me paint a better picture in my head of what the characters in the book are doing. And Background knowledge helped me this week when I was watching a show of people experiencing Las Vegas and that reminded me, of when I went to Las Vegas.. Ok byee

Using background knowledge helps me in my reading, becuase i remember stuff when i was little. For example, i went to a urban area when i was a kid, and in today's novel thing i knew automatically that they were in a urban area becuase ive seen a urban place before.

My background knowledge has helped me with adding more detail to my writing and knowing more about what I am reading. I can take more things now out of pictures, poems,or songs because I can add my background knowledge. See everyone tomorrow, bye!

Background knowledge has helped me with reading the Maze Runner and connect to it. When reading about the death of someone I can connect to it because of a family member who was close to me had passed away.I can understand how they felt.

Background knowledge has helped my reading improve because when I look at pictures or even poems some things in those make my mind think of stuff that I just know from years back. I really enjoy doing this with all the other 6/7 students. I really think it's going to help everyone's reading even if your already and awesome reader it's going to make you an even better one, personally I know I'm not the best reader in the world but I know I'm a decent reader and this is really helping me! See you all tomorrow, Good night

Making background knowledge and connections helped me when I was looking at the picture today,so I would have abetter understanding of what theywere doing or what it was about,or what they were feeling.setting a porpus helped me,because once i have a porpose on why I was reading then I would go back and be able to find much more things in the story or picture that I didnt notice before after setting a porpuse.

A connection/ background knowledge I made this week or that I make sometimes, is when the characters goes somewhere eg a Candy Shop, then I picture a Candy shop from other books or movies and then add the details the characters describe to the "image" of the shop. Usually I start from scratch with my OWN idea of details or imagination then add to the picture as I read along with the details the "author" describes.

Bye using my background knowledge I can see or make connection on a picture or story. For the picture I used my B.K. to find connection and what the picture is showing me.
