Today you wrote some humorous Limerick poems. We will continue with those tomorrow. Research to find a Limerick to share with the class tomorrow. Leave a comment about your painting today. What went well for you? What was challenging? Did you get very far? Are you just starting or nearly finished? Are you remembering that one of the criteria was to extend your sea creature over the front face of the canvas onto the side? Have you used your background knowledge (from previous Art lessons) to include a light source? If you see a photo of yourself, upload it to your website. If you have your own skipping rope, bring it to school tomorrow to skip with your Little Buddy. Check out some of the skipping rhymes at the website. |

I think that everything went well for me while I was painting. I think the challenging part was to keep the canvas still without getting paint on your hands. I did not get VERY far but I did do the main colour for my squid, I do have some of the tentacles going off the front of the canvas to the sides of them.

I finished about half of my painting. Painting yellow on my turquoise background was challenging because it just turned green. I remembered to make my jellyfish go off the sides of the box. I haven't done my light source yet, but I will soon.

The shape of my stingray went well same with the eyes. The challenge was blending the colours of my stingray. I got pretty far because I just have to fix my blending because its not that good. I say I am pretty far on my sea creature.

I thought painting was fun. I just had some trouble doing the light source, because it wouldn't blend in with the actual color. I am almost finished I just have to do the details in starfish. Yes, I did make my starfish go over the side. I also did a light source.

One good thing that went well for me was that when I outlined my drawing, I actually stayed between all the lines so my painting came out fine. And I painted a little bit so I have a light source for tomorrow!! I have not used background knowledge for a light source. I'm just starting mine. I am NOT very far!!!!

I am almost done my painting. I just have to and shade the blue background. Other then that I am almost done with the painting. I saw a lot of really good paintings today, so I can't wait to see other people's finished artwork. I found doing this project and following the criteria fairly easy, and I used a lot of stuff I have learned in the past. I might do this project at home some other time with another art subject in mind.

The second coat of my fish body went well today. It was challenging to stay in between were the black was supposed to go and were the orange was supposed to go. I got pretty far, I got my seaweed done! YAY! I think I'm a little bit behind the middle. Yes i did remember. I might have to start thinking of a light source now. Bye! See you all tomorrow!

I'm almost done I found the most challenging part was the blending because you had to find the perfect shade in the middle so it didn't look choppy I'm happy that it's almost done because tomorrow I'll start doing little details like smoothing the edges and dots or stuff like that I'll try to find a limerick I dont have my own skipping rope but I hope I do well anyway!!!

The hardest part of the painting was when my turtle messed u and I had too murge it into something else. The blending of my colours were pretty easy. I now am painting a clown fish. Peters orcas are amazing.

What went well for me today was my blending in colours I still need to do more but it has been good so far. What was challenging for me was painting on the side of the canvas. I got pretty far but I still need to do a little more darker on some parts so you can see where the light is coming from. I am almost done and I cant wait to see what it will turn out to be like. I have used my back round knowledge in this art project. You may not see it yet but I am still working on it. Yes I did remember to wrap my sea creature on the sides of the canvas. See you guys tomorrow.

Painting yesterday went okay for me. I am almost done, but I forgot to wrap around the sides of my creature! I think I might have missed that instruction. Blending the paints was easy for me, and I tried to make my art very colourful. Hopefully I will get the colours for the sides right. I used my backround knowledge for the light and I think that part looks good. I can't wait to see the finished product!

While I was painting there was some miner errors because if I painted I little out of the lines, I would have to paint over it with another paint. I really like mine right now because it doesn't look like a cartoon turtle it kind of look real. One question, can we have one other sea creature in the background?? The mixed colour for my turtle skin is not to light green and not to dark, it's like a navy green.😃 I trust my painting, And I hope it turned out good. See you all today/Thuresday. 😆

I am finished my drawing it looks pretty good. What I felt like was the head part. I say the head part was challenging because once it looked to skinny ,and then a little to big so that's what I found the hardest. What I found the easiest is the legs ,because you just had to make the legs swiggly ,and all over the canvas!
