I was reading the poster with my friend and along the first few sentences we were in shock to know how fortunate we really are. We'd usually take those things for granted and not really appreciate what we have. Instead we complain about the things that we don't have. Bye!

I was very surprised to read that only 8% of the world is wealthy. I was also surprised to find out that there are 153 000 000 orphans in the world. I think the worst thing about poverty is that they are all so great full for anything they get but we aren't.

That we are very fortunate to have things that some of the world doesn't have. If you woke up health and not sick you are more blessed then million of people that won't survive the week. If you could read it your more fortunate then a lot of people. I really feel bad for all of the kids that are on the street and are less fortunate then us also I feel bad for little kids that have no one to look after them and are alone on the street hungry and tired and sick and it makes me want to cry and I just want to do anything to help them and I am happy that people are helping them. Bye

I-I am speechless, honestly. Sure, we hear about the people daily living in less fortunate conditions, but I never imagined it to be this intense. I am shocked, sad, angry, confused, baffled, disappointed, and feeling lucky all at the same time. We often take our privileges for granted. To be honest, sometimes I've wished I didn't have to go to school on certain days. When I look at how people in poverty live without proper nutrition, a good education, and safe homes, it's really disheartening. I feel really sorry for them and all of a sudden I want to help those people as much as possible. I also feel lucky to possess all of these needs. I am grateful that I can go to school every day. I am thankful that I am not near war and am living in a peaceful environment. I am thankful for food, water, shelter, and other basic needs. I am thankful for a kind and loving family, along with friends who are always there for me. They always stand up for me and never put me down. I know I can always count on my friends. I hope someday we can look at the word 'poverty' and say to ourselves, "What is this? This doesn't even exist!" I don't want poverty to stay. I want poverty to go away. Okay, bye!

I am just surprised that people like me are among the 8% wealthiest people in the world. I can't believe that almost 75% of people worldwide don't have their basic human needs. I'm just speechless that millions of people die from having very low resources and uncomfortable places to sleep. Something that really hit me in this poster is that around 3 billion people can not read or has education.

After I read this poster, I felt grateful for what I have because before I read this, I wanted more and more things, and of course I shouldn't. Also, I regret for not donating them even though I had a chance to. The last thing that I thought when I read this poster is that I shouldn't buy, throw away, buy and throw away. Instead, I should be more grateful how I am.

When I read this poster I was so happy and grateful that we are more wealthy then most of the world. I feel that I need to be more grateful and stop being jealous of others. When I was young I always whined to give the "hobo's" donations but my dad would always say, "It's their fault there in that problem because they did'nt work hard and blah blah blah" and I would say " Some grow up like that though," and he would say, " Even if we wanted I dont have change." so from that year on I did'nt try to donate. But seeing that picture I might try again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When I read this poster I was surprised that I'm part of the 8% of the world who is wealthy. When I read that 3 million people couldn't read this poster at all I was grateful that I am not blind even though I have bad eye sight, I have always complained that I have bad eye sight and that I wished that I had perfect eye sight but now I know I should be more grateful that I can even see with my eyes; And that I can read this poster as well because I now know that I should be more grateful that I can read as well as see. I thought that my old house was dirty small and I and I had nothing to do there, but after reading the poster I should be more grateful that I even have a house that I can live in and sleep in, something that can protect me from the elements of nature. At school when we were reading the booklet that you gave us I learned that there are two types of poverty as well. I learned from this poster that we should be more grateful for what we have because we live better live than most people.

The picture explains how lucky we are out of everyone in the whole world. I did not know all of these facts and that so many people were in poverty. It made me now more of a grateful person and to think about all the people who do not have money or clothes or anything we might use everyday.

I don't know what to say. I think that we are very lucky to have all these things, and I am very grateful for having everything that I have. I am so surprised at all that because I knew that many couldn't even read that, i knew that many people didn't have a home, food, or shelter, but I didn't know that if you have money in the bank, money in your wallet and some extra change you are among 8% of the worlds wealthiest.

I am shocked that I am more rich than 75% of the world it really just tells you how many people don't have the basic needs we do. We should be thankful that we have a bit of spare change because we are in the top 8% of the richest people in the world. Just having the ability to comment on these blogs means I am more fortunate than 3 billion people worldwide. I woke up today with more health than sickness so I am more lucky than the MILLION PEOPLE who will not survive this week that's CRAZY.

The poster took my breath away for a second because I realized how lucky I am and that a whole lot of the world doesn't have what you and I have. It made me think a lot because it really creates a picture in my mind on how much of the world is struggling. It is crazy to think 8% of the world is wealthy! To me that is absolutely crazy because 8% is such a little number compared to 100% and it is not a good thing.

When I was reading it I was shocked at how wealthy I am and how grateful I am. I didn't know that I was 8% wealthy then other people in the world because lots of people can't go to a grocery store and buy food like me so I should be really grateful that I have these things and that I shouldn't say that I have nothing because there are more people out there who don't have anything and are barley living.

I can't believe that 75% of the world don't have a fridge, clothes, a roof, or a place to sleep. I can't believe that a million people won't survive this week that is insane you wouldn't even think that a million people would die this week. How can't the government help the 3 billion people that can't read that's just crazy in are daily life we barely see anyone that can't read unless their are babies.

I was also surprised that if I could read the poster I was more fortunate than 3 billion of the world that can not read at all.
