Mrs. Skelly came to Hillcrest today to teach us about careers in Trades and Technology. You got to build an electrical circuit, and watch two videos. You made connections between school subjects you are learning and skills needed for careers in Trades and Technology. Leave a DETAILED comment about the workshop. Did you enjoy it? What did you learn? Was there anything you already knew? Are you interested in a Trades career? If so, which one?

It was pretty interesting. I learned that every subject in school can be used for a job. I didn't really know anything either. I'm not sure if I'm interested in a trades job.

The thing from the workshop that I found the most interesting was an animation artist. I don't like drawing much but it just looked really interesting. Another thing that looked interesting was an interior designer. I like to watch people design the insides of houses because it looks really cool and artsy.

I found the workshop very interesting. I did not know what the world would be like if we had no trade jobs. I learned that trade jobs come from what you do in school and i learned that all trade jobs have language arts in common with each other. I also learned how to build a circuit using nails, wire, screws, battery, and a buzzer. Very interesting stuff she told us. I already know how to use tools because I built my own lemonade stand last summer. I am interested in 3 trade jobs, they are Carpentry, Being a chef, and App design. Bye! See you all tomorrow!

I already knew pretty much all of it but still a bit of stuff that I didn't know. I am interested in app designers because I have a good idea of some apps.

I didn't really enjoy the presentation very much. I knew that all these people need to study and go to school for their job, and every job has an important role. I actually wasn't interested in ANY of these jobs she talked about. I want to be an author and that isn't a Trades or Technology Career. There are many jobs that is not a trade and technology job in fact. I wished she just talked about other jobs that do not involve Trade and Technology.

I really enjoyed doing the workshop. I would also want to take cooking. I learned that even with 1 trade elective you can achieve a lot of jobs. I didn't know that L.A. is so important in every job. bye

I enjoyed the presentation a lot I did not know that language arts was involved with all the trade jobs. I also did not know all of those careers she showed us were trade jobs! But I did know that some of them were. (e.g. Construction, cooking, interior design...) I might be interested in becoming a chef, a make up artist, or maybe hair designer...

Sorry I didn't post last night I was working on valintine cards lol! Anyway I liked the worshop it was a bit confusing and my group got into a bit of a dis agreement on what parts go where but we did it. I learned that you need to work together to get the job done! I knew about the cooking job and that you could become a chef but not any of the others. I'm interested in app design because I think I'm pretty creative and could possibly do it.

I did really enjoy building that with my group. I already knew that the battery would send electricity through the wire to each screw and nail and that when the electricity hit the screw/nail that was connected to the buzzer that the buzzer would turn on. I think I might want to go into either being an architect or interior designing. See you all on FRIDAY :D

I learned that when using material such as metal, wood, plastic they could make something together and that the subject in school will help you with trades work.from the first video when everything reset it taught me that every single job keeps are environment together because If we didn't have woodworkers/carpenters then are walls and sealing will be no more.
