April and Sachin from Junior Achievement returned today to teach you the difference between unit production and an assembly line; you built pens using both methods. Our results were surprising because, generally speaking, an assembly line should be a faster means of building your product. You also learned that you need to market your product with good advertising. Your group ads were pretty hilarious! Leave a detailed comment: What did you enjoy most about the overall Junior Achievement lessons (today and last time)? What did you learn? (Remember, it's all about the learning!) Do you think these lessons will prepare you for real life, outside of school? How so?

Hi! Junior achievement was fun! I had fun making pens and also testing handshakes. I learned all the names of working by yourself or working by 2 or working together more than 3 people.

I enjoyed making pens the most, and I learned that you need to be careful when you're making things because our group had four defective pens. I think they will help because you will need to know all of those words and when to use them.

I enjoyed making the ads. They were hilarious! I learned how to fill out a job application. I also learned how to start a business and go a bit farther in making one. Yes, I think it will help with time out of school (if your done school). I think this because if you want to create a business e.g. a restaurant. This program prepares you for creating that business. Like hiring people, how to choose the right person and how to make good and entertaining ads. Well i have to go to a ball hockey game so see y'all tomorrow!

I learned how to make a successful business. I also learned how to build a pen which was very fun and also how to do a great handshake. I enjoyed the add we did for our groups. Our business is called the Woof Wash. We had fun also watching the other groups do their adds. Thanks for the great opportunity.

My favourite part was making pens and making ads/commercials. I learned that it is important to have a good firm handshake and to be confident AND to be polite. This helped me learn to fill out a job application and how to make pens (if I choose that as my profession.

Hi! What I learned from the Junior Achievement is how to act like when you are going for an interview, you have to be confident . Also your job application has to be written properly other wise the employer would not even call you in for an interview, by looking at your application. I say this because, if you look at a job application you would like to see a nice clean page with lot's of information about themselves, and why they want to apply for the job, but if you look on a job application that has stains on the page and the information is not enough, and only works for the money. The employer would not be happy with that, and probably will think your doing nothing there. The employer would not be happy because he would be paying the person for doing nothing. For example if you are applying for a job at an video game you would probably like someone who plays video games, so they can tell costumers if the game is good or not. Also you would like someone who is confident (like I said above) ,because you can't have someone shy or doesn't talk a lot to speak to a customer probably ,because they just don't want to talk ,or they might talk ,but will not be so loud. The last thing I learned about is ,how you can start a business. The first way you can start a business is starting it by your self which is called sole proprietorship, the second way is doing it with another person ,which is called partnership, and the last way is working with lots of people ,which is called cooperation. The part I enjoyed the most is when we got to make the pens ,because its fun working together ,and trying to make the pens as fast as we could in one minute. Yes ,this prepared me for real life ,because now I know how I should ,be like when for I got to a job interview. Also I know hot to fill out my job application properly. Bye see you guys tomorrow!

I enjoyed making pens (allot of them for The Woof Wash) and making a commercial. I learned that businesses aren't easy to make, you got to go through allot of steps and advertisement's to get your business really popular for example Save On Foods. Yes but I don't know how it would help outside of school.

I really enjoyed making the pens today (make them faster! hurry up!), or the interviews with your friends yesterday. I also liked practising our hand shakes (Don't have sweaty palms!). I've also learned how a business can be really expensive, and how you should save up a lot of money before you are going to start a successful business, how a business works, and most importantly: how to have a successful business. Finally, I absolutely agree that these are some very important lessons I will use many times later on in my life and outside of school e.g. for job interviews, if I want to start business, and many different tasks. Now I am prepared for the world! (but I have to at least finish high-school.)

I think junior achievement was super duper dupity fun! Building the pens was pretty awesome! I don't think my handshake needed work but, if others think so... I guess it does. I learned the basics of marketing. Production, I think another way for saying the assembly line is 'mass production' in a sense.

I learned that when you are being interview you should be confined and honored to be there, Because if your lazy and just want to be there for the money then the employers wouldn't employ you. I also enjoy making the green pens from raw material. Sometimes it takes ages to complete your business so there are no error and no mistakes. I would like to learn more about business but I'm pretty sure April said you will be Learning more in university. It will help you in the future because if you don't know this stuff then you wouldn't be able to get a good paying job, You might just get a low payment job or live in poverty. I learned a lot and I enjoyed it so I hope this helps my future self and I also hope I see you all tomorrow. B-) BYE BYE!

I learned that if you want to make a buisness make it with 2 or more people don't make it with 1000,000 people unless you think you can go far with it

What I enjoyed most was making the pens with our group. I learned to take your time so then the pens will turn out good the first time, instead of having to go back a second time and having to fix it. I also learned you need to be confident when your going into a interview and to be organised so then the job owner will recognise you and see that your a hard worker not one who eats all the time and puts there feet on the table, you also have to be respectful to. Yes, I do think these lessons will help me prepare myself in the real world (outside of school) because when I am older I can show them the certificate and tell them I have been learning for a long time on how to be mature. I will know how to be proper and respectful.

The thing that I enjoyed most about the junior achievement program was making our own buisness with the little slips of paper that we got, doing the pen assembly lines, and making our comercils.I enjoyed all of it and I had a really fun time!I learned that having a good handshake is important for a job interview and I learned that posture, I think and confidence are also very important during an interview.I really think that these lessons will prepare us for the real world, because know we know how to have a proper interview [convinient for getting job's] and the diferent types of ways of working like by yourself or a partnership or with many many many people! We also learned cool stuff like how to atract customers and stuff like rent and paying your employees.I think those things can deffinetley come in handy in the real world!Bye everyone.See you all tomorow!

I think it will prepare me of I want to make my own business so I will be successful and not fail and go down hill then have no money which you will end up on the streets with no money because you used all of your money on trying to create a business. If your not successful then no money no house no food no water and no clean cloths like we get every day so basically you are living in poverty

I really enjoyed the junior achvement presentation, but if I had to choses three top things I think it would have to be making pens, making andvertismeants but mostly interviewing each other. I found it really fun while Mr sizzzlybacon and I were interviewing each other. It was cool see a bad interview and a good interview. See you all tomorrow bye!

I thought that the Junior Achievment presentastion was really fun, and I also think I've learned a lot! If I had to choose my favourite things, it would probably be making the pens, and our interviews. Sugarbear and I had a lot of fun doing the bad interviews and the good ones too. I had no idea that when you are with a large group in a buisness, you are part of a corporation. No one got our ad for Swag-A-Build Skateboard Shop, but it would make a lot more sense if it was a T.V ad or if you saw the picture. I think that the information and facts from the presentation will really help me when I am older and I also learned, buisness is harder then it looks. See everyone tomorrow, bye!

I learned that assembly line is better for some things like cars but the individual one is better for smaller things like pens! I think it will help us in real life because now we know how to act when we are applying for a job ,and who to employe when your in charge. I enjoyed starting our business like what's your business's name ours was swagabuild skateboard shop. Our add was challenging because you could only get it if you looked at our paper!!!

Something I learned from the Junior Achievment was how to make a pen. I had no idea what was in the pen other than ink. It was fun to make the pen. The assembly line was much harder than doing it on my own.
