The quote means not to think about the bad things In life and trying to help do the things that you can do. It could help him by talking to Jeffery and to the 'rents about other things and just go to the place where the greener grass grows where everything is better. I don't think i have had anything like that but for people that have bee in that place every cloud has silver lining!

The quote means to me that if there is something you can't change don't change it. Instead change something you can change and see where it leads you. This is helpful to Steven because he should focus on things he can change instead of the things he can't. Yes, there is one time where I couldn't stop an argument between my cousins then when they stopped arguing I tried to cheer them up.

1.) The quote to me means to not stand around worrying about something you can change , but instead you can work on the things you can change. Or to not think about the bad things in life all day.

We often complain that "I can't do this!" or "Why did it have to be this way?" or "I just wish this wasn't it!". Instead of moaning and complaining, I think this quote means to focus on things that you can actually change. For example, on a math test if there was a question that was kind-of icky, instead of thinking, 'Ugh. Not this question!" you can try to think about how you can solve it or if you can't solve it (yet), think about how you can get help to make those kind of questions easier. This sort of reminds me of the "Not Yet" discussion. If you can't change something, maybe you just haven't fixed it YET. And, like Limemu$icfan said, every dark cloud has a silver lining. I think this quote is helpful to Steven because there are so many things he can't change, like Jeffrey's situation, but instead of feeling sorry or upset that he can't do anything about it, he should focus on other things he CAN fix, like his math situation. I haven't experienced anything like where this quote would be helpful, but to those who have, I think this quote could come in handy. Okay, bye!

To me the quote means if something is too difficult you can take a deep breath and know that at some point you will be able to finish what you have started. Why stress of the things you can't change when there are better things you could be doing. Steven is constantly stressing himself over Jeffrey and not being able to fix things. Yes, I have experienced times where this quote would have been helpful. Bye!

To me the quote means if there is something you can't change do not try to change it. To Steven it meant to not get worked up over something he couldn't do. There are many times when I could have used these words but one example is when I do something wrong or bad. I could use these words to move on. Bye! :)

I think to quote means that you can't get fustrated over the things you can't figure out and focus on the things you can do. I think this quote revolves around Steven because he can't change how Jeffery is sick but he can still enjoy his time with Jeffery and his family. I have experienced times where I could of used this quote.

To me it means that why do you stress about stuff that you can't do focus on stuff that you can do. One thing that could help Steven do this is it can help for him to do drum practice or stop thinking about his brother dying or anything negitive about him and focus more and school work and life with his family\ friend ship something that could help me with these words are when I was about 7ish I wasn't good at baseball so I switched to football and I now love it. Bye

They mean to me that you can't put yourself down because it's not your fault and you can't fix that. Steven thinks it's his fault that Jeffrey has cancer but he has to focus on doing what he can do to help Jeffrey. Today there was something in the auction that I really wanted for my brother but I didn't get it so I tried to focus on getting something else for him instead.

To me they mean to stop trying to change the things that you know you can't and try changing the things you can. They are helpful to Steven because he keeps getting angry and frustrated about the things that he can't change so maybe he should consider trying to change the things that he can. No I have not but I know that lots of people do concerning their looks and I think that the memo would definitely help.

To me the quote means don't stress about the things you can't change and do something that you can change. I think it's helpful to Steven because he keeps thinking that Jeffery has cancer because of him but he should worry about the things he can do to help Jeffery. I have never experienced anything with these words. Hopefully I feel better and come to school tomorrow bye!

I think it means if you can't answer a question right don't get upset and think of ways to correct it so basically it's like changing your mindset.I think it help's Steven because he can get mad quite easily or thinks he douts himself that he can't do it so what she ment was that you don't have to fix every problem only the ones you can so again she's basically telling him to change his mindset and don't work to hard.I have and basically I was a rugby player and I almost broke my leg so I couldn't run as fast a I want or even play it was that bad so while this happened I forgot about the other sports I could do then my sister sugested volley-ball so I tried it out and I loved it and I didn't really have to move run full speed so I ended up sticking with it and I ended up happly ever after bye!

I think it means if you try to change some thing you can't change your wasting the time you can use to Change stuff that can be changed it would help Steven realize that he can't change the fact Jeffery has cancer but he can change how jefferys feeling so that it can take his mind off how bad things are for him and so he can focus on having a good time and I have not experienced any times that this quote would be helpful have a good night see you tomorrow

I think it means stop take a minute think about the situation is it a big deal? No probably not. Dont sweat the small stuff only worry about the important things.2.It relates to Steven because he should be only concerned about Jeffery and being there for him everything else can wait.Yes, this week my mom fell down and hurt herself and couldnt do anything so we all had to put everything aside and help around the house for her no questions asked.

To me the quote means that even though some things might be going bad right now, try and focus on the good thing like what you can do to help. It could help Steven because he could stop thinking about how jeffrey might die and instead he could help Jeffrey by playing with him and making him happy so he would feel like a like a normal boy instead of a boy with cancer. Yes, definitely I could have used that mindset, for example when I got my grade 6 shots last year, instead of worrying about it and saying how I don't want them I can focus on the good part, if I get the shots I won't be sick and it will be over with in a second. Bye see everyone tomorrow. :)

It means to me that I cannot change the past but I can try to improve the future. He cannot change the fact that Jeffery is suffering from the cancer but he can try to improve it by thinking about the things he can do to help Jeffrey. I fractured my right arm once a day before a special event for me and I was thinking that if I haven't fractured my arm I could have more fun but I still tried to think positive and try my best. Bye!

I think it means you should stop thinking about things in the past but the things you can change right now because. It would help Steven by always hanging out with his little brother instead of ignoring him before they knew he had cancer. But no these words would never come in handy in the past for me.

I think it means you shouldn't think about things in past because you can't change it so why don't you start changing things now. For Steven it is helpful because he can't change that Jeffrey has cancer but he can change things by hanging out with Jeffrey and playing with him to make him feel better.I have never experienced anything where these words have helped me.Bye!

1. I think it is telling you to stop whining about the you cant change and move on to the things you can. 2. This can help Steven, for an example the math finale he could get better and study harder for the next one. 3. One time I messed up on something important so instead of sitting there, I tried to fix my mistake and I did. ho ho ho merry christmas

I think the quote means Don't Use your time worrying about stuff instead you should do something about it. For Steven I think it means stop thinking about the past and start thinking about now. I don't think it has.

The quote is telling you to work around your problems and not get mad about the ones you cant solve. For Steven I think it is telling him to spend the time he has with his brother instead of worrying about what could happen next. Also that he can not change what is happening to Jeffery so he should not worry about it. Bye.

We can all make positive changes in our lives, but a lot of people focus on the things they can't change in life and this just makes people sad and frustrated. Instead of getting depressed about everything, Steven should focus on the good times he can still have with his brother while he is still alive. I feel the same way about my great Grandmas. Even though they are both gone and in heaven I still have the memories we made together.
