My soapstone is going really good, better than I thought it was going to at first! I am very happy with the progress that I've made, and I can't wait till we finish! The best part of soapstone carving is that it's fun and we get to learn a lot about what we need to do so that it looks fabulous! Some frustration I have is that all the tools are quite sharp so a couple times I cut myself with the tool bu tnot badly enough to bleed just so it stings!

My soapstone carving is coming out great, thanks! Yes, I am very pleased with all the progress I had made during the first two weeks. The best part of our carving sessions is when I get to see everyones amazing creations. The most frustrating thing for me is when I really need help from Kathi but I can't get any so I ask my peers in my group for what they think I need to improve on. Super excited for tomorrows game

I think that my soapstone is coming along very well and I'm very pleased with my progress, It's finally starting to look like a fish. My favorite part of soapstone carving is the feeling that you get when you finish a cut because you just got that much closer to the stone looking like an animal. I don't think that I have any frustrations so far. See you all tomorrow.

My stone is coming along well! I am pleased with my stone so far. My favourite part is probably the rounding! I think the hardest part is sawing.

My soap stone is coming along good, I am very pleased on what my soap stone is looking like so far and I can't wait to see the end product! My favorite part about soapstone is when your round or you cut off a peice and you realize how much closer you are to the end! I don't really have frustrating moments except when it takes a really long part to saw of a peice. Bye! See everyone tomorrow!

My soapstone is getting better, I like how it looks so far. My favourite part of carving is watching your stone turn into something completely different. I don't really like filing for hours on end, though.

Mine is coming well too! I am very pleased with myprogress. Best part is when we took out the negative space from your or my stone. We feel really proud for ourselves when we cut out and see it turns definitly different than before! I don't have any dissatisfaction for my stone!

My soapstone elephant is coming out great! I'm so pleased with my progress that I can't wait to finish it. I would say the best part of soapstone is sawing with a saw it is so much fun but hard work! One of my frustrations are the tools because they're so sharp that today I cut my self and I started to bleed but I'm okay I just had to go to the tap and rinse my finger and then it felt better.

My soap stone is good, I've got more carving done today, I think the best part is that you can be creative and have fun with it. I'm not really frustrated with anything to do with my stone.

Hi! My soapstone is coming along great! I am kind of pleased with my progress. I still have a lot to do though! I think the best part of carving with a soapstone stone is that you can do whatever you want with it and you can be creative or realistic with what you create! One thing I'm frustrated with is that i keep scraping my finger with a file because my stone needs a lot of filing before i can saw again. Actually, I don't think that i would need a saw again. Well, see you all tomorrow! Bye for now!

My soapstone is coming along well. I have had really good progress. My elephant really starting to look like an elephant. I think sawing is my favorite part. I find rounding really frustrating because you have to be really patient with it.

My soap stone is coming along very good. I am very pleased with my soap stone. My favorite part of soap stone craving would have to be craving the stone. One frustrating part of soap stone craving is when i'm craving the saw slides of the stone.

My soap stone is looking like seal which to me means I'm doing GREAT. I think a frustration is going to be the front fins but nothing has really been frustrating because I know where to round on my seal to make it look fat and beautiful :D See you all tomorrow!

My soapstone look okay, but yes I am pleased with it I honestly thought it come out very bad and mess up before I started my stone but it's better than I thought. I think the best part in my soapstone carving is the part where there is a gap between the river and the tummy of my dolphin, because I worked very hard on it and proud of it. One thing that frustrated me was I was rounding and I had sawed the wrong way so it took a while to fix up the mess I made got through it and it looks better now. Bye!

My soapstone is doing really well! I have made good progress and I am proud of all that I have done so far. The best part of my soapstone carving is the edges, because they are round and curved and very beautiful, although the rest of it looks like a block with triangles cut off. I am frustrated when I hold my saw and then I can't move it even the slightest bit. If I move a little, the whole thing will be slanted. That can get a little frustrating when you're trying to get things done. Overall, I think the soapstone carving is really fun and I'm looking forward to a beautiful result. Okay, bye!

I think that I"m doing good but I should try to work a lot more than today. A frustration I have is when I round because it takes forever to get the right thing.

My soapstone is coming along great, and the best part of my carving is i think either the head, or one of the fins. Also, one frustration I have is one side of the rock is really bumpy and rough, so it's hard to tell where I'm cutting from that angle. Plus, that makes it harder to cut out the back fin.

My soapstone is becoming a turtle very fast and slow at the same time. I am very happy with my progress so far. My favourite part of soapstone carving is that I am allowed to use the tools freely. Some frustrations I have are that I keep forgeting to wet my stone before I work on it. See you all today.

My soapstone is coming alone quite slowly but I am being care so no mistake happen. My bears progress is doing fine I believe that my round is doing the best so far. The best part on my soapstone is the bum of the bear because it is really rounded and the back has a slope to it so it makes the rear pop. I am frustrated with the head of my bear because I have no idea what I am going to do with it and I also suck at doing bear heads. See you all soon! :D
