The first, I heared was too much sad piano sounds. I knew that it was about sad stories, I mean about many soldiers and wars. I was too sad to hear many people saying with tears... I think no, I know teacher showed this video because of next week's rememberance day. I didn't watch the all of the video, because, its too long, and I don't want to hear so such a sad story. I'll be really thankful for soldier wo fuoght for freedom..

When I read the title of the video before watching it, I thought of a battle front where people fought for some reasons.

I Learned people will die for their country and gave everything they have so that their country won't be invaded. Also my parents are in the military reserves and basic training. I'm pretty sure they had to go to Newfoundland and also run for up to 5 hours.

The video made me feel thankful for what all the people who sacrificed their lives to keep their country safe. The first part of the video was people from World War I who survived and were talking about how thousands of men I'm pretty sure died from from the first day which shocked me. They said that you just get machined gun to death which makes me think of why did people do this? Why would you kill so many people that belong to families and your not just hurting the person you killed your also hurting their friends and family. It occurs to me that people got jealous and everything went out of hand. I wish everyone around the world will realize that peace and hope is way more important than war and fighting. A quote I came up with was, I hope there will never be wars between others and always have peace for another. See you all tomorrow.

I was surprised that they found that many people to interview about the war, because it feels like it was such a long time ago. It was really only about eighty years ago. I heard someone telling a story in that video about how a little girl found some soldiers and she hugged one of them saying, "Give this to my dad." but she didn't know that her dad had already died in the war. That made me really sad.

Hi! I think its crazy going up against 20 or more machine guns running with no cover and having your buddies die right beside you! I don't know how they do it! Its unbelievable how much courage, bravery and determination is involved gust to fight! Im so thankful that people step up and say i will fight for my country even if i die. Well, see you all on Monday!

I thought the video was so so sad. I watched 7 minutes and I had to stop watching because it was so sad. I can't even imagine what it must've been like. In the beginning a man was talking about the machine guns and all the people being shot and killed. A couple of people talked about how there friends were with them and they died. That would be absolutely terrible to see your friend being killed right in front of you. The story with the little girl in it was really sad.

I learned that it's a big thing, bigger than words can explain, that these people have put in a lot for the freedom that we live in today. They have done so much for us, and have made many sacrifices. I thought of it from a (soldier's?) point of view. Wouldn't he miss his family? Wouldn't he be scared and sad and tired? Despite all that, he stood up for his country. Not many people have the kind of gift and patience like those people. Everything, everything I have today would probably be because of them. I feel thankful, and I feel that from now on, I should really remember the people who fought for my country.

I learned that people go through a lot and its a very difficult to go through. I am just thankful for what I have and how my family and I are safe living at home. Not having to go to a war to fight! I also learned that its not a small thing its a very big thing! My sister just read me her poem that was about a guy who was in the war and he sent a letter to his family. It was so sad. He was saying how he was thankful for what life gave him which I can relate to I am very thankful which I said before. That poem made me feel not to e selfish because he said I don't think people understand what soldiers have to go through seeing people getting killed or even themselves. See you all Monday

The video made me think of how grateful I am to have a family who is safe and healthy and I couldn't imagine how sad it would have been to be at war, seeing people die right in front of you..it would be terrible. So on November 11th I will be in clover dale watching my grandpa(who was a veteran) march in the parade. I am very thankful for what I have and what I can do! See you all on Monday Byeeeee!

This video reminds me of all the people who gave up there lives for the people in Canada today and in my mind that is the definition of brave. In the video a man said " if we don't remember we wouldn't be here" I think this is why we take the moment of silents on Remembrance day because The veterans gave up they're lives for Canada so we could be here today and if we did not remember we would not be here. Another quote from the video was " as soon as we forget somebody will take advantage of it" All the people in this video have had to see all there friends died right in front of them but also had the courage to survive.

I learned that all the Veterans in the video are proud Canadians and served us well. And I am thankful that I'm living in a free and well protected country.

The fist thing I heard was the sadness of all the the survivors of world war 1 seeing there friend and allies dying and gun shot wizzing past their heads. They also talked about what they feel now some of them, probably all of them still see their friend falling and they wake up in the middle of the night and then never can go back to sleep, some of them can't even go to sleep. I didn't watch a lot of it but I still got some info. Rememberace day is probably one of the saddest or the saddest holidays of all time. See you all later. 😄

I think the video was very sad because at the start there was sad piano music and the point of the video I guess is to remember the people that died for us.
