Stop and think, this helped me understand my reading more so I can process what they are saying in the book or anything. Reread, this helped me understand more big words that I don't really know and it helps me to catch on to things.

Using background knowledge has helped me to relate/understand whats going on in the story, poem,or picture. It helps me to put down more ideas on the sheet of papaer that we ususallly get, becasue once I use background knowledge Im able to get a better idea of what they are doing or feeling, etc.

When I am reading a future part of a storyline and I come across a part of where they are talking about the past part in the storyline I don't remember I go back to that part and re-read to have better comprehension and I know it might have a important part latter in the series or individual book.

It helped me because sometimes I was reading to fast for my mind to process the information that I was reading, so slowing down really helped me process the information that I was reading.
